Day 5, 070309!

Yes yes, and so we woke up at 6am then gathered about 8am to bus off to our first destination: East Lake (Dong Hu). Man oh man, it was so cold there! Well, nothing much there except for trees, flowers and grass. And loads of lake water. Next stop; The Musuem. Uh huh, too much stuff to see but given too little time because we took our own sweet time to assemble. Hmm, as usual, they displayed all the historic artefacts of various dynasties. Most of which concentrated on the Marquis Yi of Zeng. During lunch hour, we were allowed to roam around a market place for thirty minutes. We credited varied amounts into the card and was supposed to use our respective cards to purchase the food item. Man, I ate a lot a lot AND A LOT MORE! I will be astounded if yours truly do not gain at least 5 kilos when i return. Last attraction was the Yellow Crane Tower. And it was there that i got gifts for G's granny and mommy plus for my dear Eunice friend. We climbed many many levels. And each level was counted half a storey instead of one. So if there are 3 levels, it would be 6 stories at the tower. And again, it was VERY COLD !
Story of the day, how a poor innocent girl got bullied

Girl A was innocently looking out to the lake. Taking in the beautiful scenery.
And meanwhile, girl B came over and thought up of an evil plan!!

So she decided to exceute her thought, SHE PUSHED GIRL A DOWN THE HILL OhMyGosh!
And thn Girl B gloat over her success. So evil!!
OPPS! But too late, poor little girl A :(
Group A, at the entrance of East Lake.
Boat rides available for offer!

There were several interesting signs put up all over the place. Took some which are worth the ponder. (Besides your photos, do not bring anything else away. Besides your footprints, do not leave anything behind.)

There were many senior citizens gathered under a pavilion. And they all cycled up! So fit..

XIANG YU
(If you spit anyhow, you will lose your demeanor/image)
This lady used the net to fish out rubbish from the lake.
And then i chased after her to check out what it is .
This is a statue of Qu Yuan. I wrote about him in the previous entry. I supposed he drown in this lake?? Yeah!

I took this at the lake. HOW COOL!
His shoes actually touched the surface of the water then flew back up again.
This senior citizen is so cute! He wore his bike helmet and did taiji.

HAHA, look at that. CM... Tsk.

(You admire the beauty of the flowers whilst they appreciate your elegance). See, the flowers think i'm elegant!
I think people like to have their wedding pictures taken by the lake. In fact, I caught three married couples in sight!
Museum.
Isn't this cool? Throughout the history, words are being formulated differently. This is the gradual transformation.
The picture below reflects the ant coins. They are shaped as ants and hence the name. These coins were used as a form of currency in the past.
The grave of Maruis Yi. One thing i read, and if i did not translate wrongly, when he died, his maidservants or musicians were buried together with him. About 25 of them including a coffin whereby the remains of a dog was unearthed. So this probably meant that his followers had to die since he passed on too? Probably..
I found the last character of my chinese name yesterday and today, i found my surname! HOU!
This is one of the accompanying coffins of Marqui Yi's
Musical Instrument in those days.
These are shapes of tiny animals, and they are made of jade. According to historians, people put the jade in the mouth, and hands of the deceased (in the coffin) so as to attempt to preserve their body.
Arrows which look like they're flying.
I had to wait five minutes to capture this picture because everyone kept interrupting my view and going forward to take picture.
These monkeys were performing on the streets. When passers-by threw coins, they actually picked up the donations and bring them to the master.
Lunch at the food street!
Dou Pi (glutinous rice cooked with egg)
Then we had satay.
EEEE WINSON OCTOPUS! eeeee
We are gradually learning the habits of the Chinese Nationals. That would be us carrying our food, standing and consuming its contents.
At the foot of the Yellow Crane Tower.
Words were engraved on the bamboo.. This writes Love.
Walking up the stairs to the tower yo.
BENEDICT LAU! The only guy in my group. I dedicate this picture to you ben ben! Because I am so grateful to you for offering to carry the HUGE WATSONS bottle.
Actually this picture was supposed to be just Ben ben and myself but the rest don't know come from where.
Feast your eyes on the tower! And no, it is not shaped in a crane form if you were even wondering.
This is Reindeer.
Ticket for admission.
Okay fine, yellow crane for you here.
You know, the tower has been built and re-built many times over the dynasties. But the centre structure remains (but several stories are added each time the construction takes place) whilst the surroundings change. This is the picture of the current outlook of the tower.
He writes poetry for his customers on impromptuness.
AND LASTLY CHIHUAHUA LOVE YOU ALL! This tiny dog has the speed of a bullet train. It was so hard to catch a picture of it.. But i managed to because i am professional!Hehehe, i drew the heart on. So cute right?
Finally, done with the post. It's 6 minutes to midnight. I was looking at my picture folders just now and thinking back of the past memories. I really love to ponder over such thoughts. And many folders were pledged to once a very close friend of mine. Well oh well.. Gnight guys [:
