We took 5-6 hours to journey up to Wudang Mountain. Considering that we woke up around 5 plus, we slept throughout the trip most of the time and it was before we know it that we reached. It was drizzling when we arrived so the tour guide advised us not to climb the mountain. The initial plan was to climb Wudang Mountain on Saturday but was thus postponed because there may be a possibility of lightning occurance. So we were shown the different temples around Wudang Shan. And after that, we had our dinner and then checked into the hotel. The rest went out for supper but I stayed in the hotel to watch some Japanese conquer China show whilst Seok Hui went to bathe. The show was the only channel which caught my eye. I slept at about 9 plus.

Many vendors were selling the red cloth which I presume is for luck and good fortune. This guy decided to wear it on his forehead.

As the sign has mentioned, this is the picture of 1 pillar with twelve beams. Visitors were throwing coins at the beam. They throw coins everywhere (water, trees and rooftops) really! For fortune I guess.
This is a dragon inside. And people were trying to aim the coins on its eyes and mouth specifically.

I never knew that we were supposed to knock before entering a locked room. To let the "spirits" know that you're going to enter or something..

Day 20, 220309!We checked out at 0630. Then headed straight for breakfast. It didn't rain so we were allowed to go up the mountain however I decided to take the cable car instead of adventuring the steps. It cost 50 yuan to travel up and 45 yuan back down. It was worthwhile because I saw people fighting about jumping queue and saw a little boy who relieved himself twice in 20 minutes. And he did it right in front of me so I had to avoid stepping on his pee. HA! Wudang Shan was quite magnificent actually and it's positioned with good fengshui. We left about 4 plus and reached back at the hostel at 9pm.

We had lunch and dinner the day before then breakfast the next at the very same restaurant.

Most of the children in China have their pants at the back not completely sewn up so it leaves a gap, for their convenience in relieving themselves. This kid can be seen wearing pampers. Hehe.
It was really foggy up there.
I brought pee-poo up from the bus.
These elderly people tried to cut our queue. So our tour guide attempted to voice out our rights for us and called the security guard over to stop them from jumping our queue. Then they started to argue!! Oh man, and what's more exciting is that they were right under my nose. 
See, all these people are so inquisitive.
And alas the tour guide just told the senior citizens to come out from the queue . The gave up arguing.
We queued for 2 hours plus.

FINALLY we reached our turn.
This is my partner fofr the cable ride. I took such a hard time to calm her nerves down. She kept freaking out!
BUT we still had mood for pictures :D
The ride was 20 minutes. And it was angled at approximately 80 degrees. Really steep.

At long last, after much waiting and bumping around.
But we still had to climb up many MANY steps which were almost built vertically to reach the temple at the top.
I was climbing behind this guy but I overtook him. He's quite funny. Because he also used his hands to support his weight and here he is, talking to his friend.
Touching the poles bring good luck. But only this part reflects the pole's true color because the height is just right for people to reach up to it.
Many people purchased locks to engrave their names and loved ones too. Good luck and fortune. Although the mountain was so high up, I could see many Chinese whom made their way so far up just to pray to the gods and ask for their wishes to be realised.

We had to position ourselves in the yellow box before we could JUMP into the car. It doesn't stop so we had to quickly hop in.
Long way back down. Oh yes, it's only 2 people per car.
Still thinking about home.
We tried to entertain ourselves. We were supposed to look terrified.
Okay, my face looks cramped. Haha.
The toilet uses this method to flush. To step on it.
ARGH MY HAIR! And do you see the unexpected formation? The height difference that is.
We settled for lunch up on the mountain.

This lady was the one who brought us to 3 Gorges. By right that was the only time that we should meet. However, she came to Wuhan (she's from Yichang) to holiday so she somehow came to join us for the Wudang Shan trip too. And she got emotionally attached to us because she mentioned that in China, people normally meet each other once however we managed to meet twice and she had already regarded us as her younger siblings. So she urged us to study hard. It was then that got me thinking the days here are started to deplete in about a couple of more weeks. As usual, time really flies. It's truly a great experience I must say. Not only do we get to study but also to go on weekend trips to level up our knowledge about China. Totally killing two birds with one stone.

Mr Wong canceled our morning class because we arrived late last night so that we could get ample rest. But lesson in the afternoon continue as per normal. He gave us a brief conclusion about the trip to the mountain then talk more about the history of various countries. This is the website which he referred to elaborate on.
